    It should be:

#cdnhealth (the d comes before the n). This is modeled on the popular #cdnpoli (for Canadian federal politics).

Also, there is #sdoh (for social determinants of health)

Also, I’d list the various popular political hashtage since health is such a political issue in Canada (both federally and regionally):

    #cdnpoli (federal Canadian politics)
    #ABleg (Alberta legislature)
    #onpoli (Ontario politics)

Also, some thematic issues in public health, such as:
    #vaw (violence against women)

I’m sure there are many others, but that’s a start!

      #BCHC for British Columbia Healthcare/Health

re: cdnhealth versus cndhealth – it was just a wave of dyslexia on my behalf!

Perhaps we should put the compiling of this list as an agenda item for next week’s #hcsmca chat?

These are not health specific, but lots of women’s organizations in Canada that deal with health issues use the hashtags:

    #cdnfem (Canadian feminism)
#fem2 (An American import for feminism2.0, I think)

We also use #ywca for things relating to our work (since it is a global movement)

    #vaw for vioence against women
    #poverty
    #homelessness

    Sorry: not Canadian specific, though.

Those are our most useful hashtags.

We might also want to create a few for significant forthcoming events, such as the renegotiation of the federal Canada Health Accord which ends in 2014. Talks for that will have to happen soon. Maybe #CHA2014 Or maybe something will organically arise as the time gets closer.

Are people using #HC for Health Canada? Might be a useful one too, though I haven’t used it yet. (Scratch that: I see it is being used for many other topics).

What about a bilingual tag like #hcsc to represent Health Canada/Sante Canada?

Regarding #hc we could use #hcca for Health Care Canada – using the same format of adding ‘ca’ to ‘hcsm’ (health care social media) may help with uptake.

I think we should go ahead with #CHA2014. If we are early and widespread enough it will likely be picked up as the standard.

I will wait until others trickle in with their comments then sort, compile and post whatever we get as separate pages at the site so we can access and refer to them easily.

BTW, if one more person asks me if we are related…;)

I’ve been using some pharma industry hashtags
    #pharma
#socpharma (for topics related to social media & pharma)
There are also a few professional hashtags
    #mdchat
    #rnchat

Great idea for an #hcsmca chat. Would you like to add it to the spreadsheet Laura? http://ow.ly/2Plpg Next week is our monthly evening chat Thurs, May 26 at 9pm ET.

    Other conference hashtags include:
    #CAPO2011 (May 4-5)
    #eHealth2011 (May 30th to June 1st)

Of course, there’s always #CHC (Community Health Centres) and #CHCchat. Started by Canadian org @CACHCA_RCACCS, but meant to encourage global conversation.

Each month is dedicated to certain health topics. For example October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this week is Sun Awareness week. I like to thake these health topics and use corresponding hashtags to keep updated on relevent monthly topics.

It’s a little obvious but how about:

    #CdnEMR
    #CdnEHR
    #CdnTeleMed
